NMIXX Fe304:BREAK OUT

NMIXX continues to refine their signature “MIXX Pop” sound with their second mini-album, Fe3O4: Break, released on January 15, 2024. While their debut projects leaned heavily into sharp contrasts and genre-bending experimentation, this release feels more cohesive—without losing the unpredictable energy that sets them apart.

From the explosive title track DASH to the pre-release single Soñar (Breaker), the album balances high-energy production with smoother, more melodic moments. Their ability to weave together pop, hip-hop, and electronic elements remains a core strength, but Fe3O4: Break also highlights a growing polish in their sound. The vocals are strong, the rap sections punchy, and the production feels both intricate and purposeful.

Visually and conceptually, NMIXX leans into a Y2K-inspired aesthetic, mirroring the bold, maximalist approach of their music. While their signature switch-ups are still present, they feel more intentional, making for an album that is as exciting as it is well-structured.

Fe3O4: Break proves that NMIXX is not just about experimentation for its own sake—they’re mastering the balance between innovation and listenability. This is another confident step forward for the girls.
